About this site
Fool Moon is an independent publication soft-launched in December 2024 as 'Converging Infinity: Next Gen', a continuation of prior blogs hosted elsewhere. This is a personal newsletter/blog that details my learning process, activism, and observations. This is also where I post my ramblings and occasional screams into the void. Feedback, however, is welcome, unless I specifically ask against it.
The name 'Fool Moon' is a play on 'Full Moon', a joke more famously abused by Jim Butcher of Dresden Files fame. Whilst the overlap exists in name, my usage of it is mostly because of the recent darkness, and "I will use the moonlight to guide myself". The moon oft being a symbol of trans women everywhere, I felt it was appropriate.
About Me
I am Katerina Autumnrain: trans woman, activist, artist, developer, explorer.
I like learning everything I possibly can, playing with computers, and building new things. I'm also quite into music, though my exploration rate in that area is still pretty slow.
I'm a firm believer in end-to-end encryption as a right and duty, protocols over silo'd platforms in most cases, and telling JS to fuck all the way off.
I have a lot more interests than what could sanely be described in a simple about me paragraph, so I will not inundate you here with all of them. I just like doing stuff!
To close out, I am mostly an action-over-words kind of girl, so whilst my existence leads me to post politics often, I have and will commit to action. Show me your mutual aid links. Send me your protest events. If I can contribute, then I will.
